Growing them in containers where they can be easily watered is recommended in dry climates. In hot climates the plant will go dormant in summer after flowering. Callas are only hardy in zones 8-10. In cooler zones, lift and store the bulbs in a cool, dry place over the winter, then replanted in in spring.
