An unusual choice for the vase, but Chickpea plants have lovely fresh green, delicately textural foliage which works beautifully in floral arrangements! The small bright green seed pods add another surprising element; whilst it doesn't provide the longest stems, the texture of this annual foliage variety is useful for posies and arrangements, and it works especially well in centrepieces for weddings and events.

Sow under cover four weeks before your last frost date; sow outside after the risk of frost has passed. Sowing temp 15-21°C; germination between 10-14 days in optimum conditions. Plant in a sunny position.

Cut once the green seed pod has formed to ensure the foliage is mature enough to stay hydrated. Place immediately into deep water and move to a cool position; no special conditioning required.

Vase life: 6-8 days
