This species is the most cold tolerant Passiflora, able to survive temperatures as low as -20°F (Zone 5) with protection, & reliably in Zones 6 (to -10F) & above.

Since it is a climbing vine, you will want to give your plants a trellis or fence grow on. The Passion Fruit is not picky about its soil, but prefers slightly sandy and/or well-draining soils. You can grow these in part shade, but they love sun & will produce more flowers & fruit when given maximum rays. The evergreen plants are deer resistant, & are tolerant to coastal conditions.
