Native to the Canary Islands, Dragon Tree is a slow growing, evergreen with blue-green, sword-shaped foliage held in rosettes at the end of the trunk. Old leaves naturally shed from the outer edges of the rosettes and leave behind scars on the trunk that suggest a scaly dragon’s leg.

The Dragon Tree will remain unbranched until it is mature enough to flower and then small greenish-white flowers on 2 ft. long flower spikes will appear in late spring-early summer followed by persistent strands of red-orange berries that attract birds.
