Purpose

Protect your order from the winter cold with UniHeat shipping warmer. Designed for reliable and steady heat release for the entire transit time of your shipment.

When to add a heat pack

If you live or have an order being shipped to a location with temperatures that dip below 38 degrees Fahrenheit, we strongly recommend adding a heat pack to ensure your plant(s) arrive safely and without damage caused by winter temperatures. We will activate it just before shipping.

Your plants will not be harmed by the heat pack, even if temperatures end up being warmer, as they release steady heat only and will not "cook" or "scorch" your plants.

Please add multiple heat packs to your order if it's a large order or If the highest temperature in a day would not exceed 35°F in your area.

We ship our plants from our nursery located in the San Francisco Bay Area (Northern California). Please consider choosing a 96 Hours or 120 Hours heat pack if your shipping address is on the eastern half of the US continental 48 states or if shipping to Alaska.

First thing to note is that this is easy to use. Select whatever amount you want, how often you want it (one time, a specific date, etc), and then click buy and confirm the payment method. I normally only have to wait a few minutes for the process to go through and get the funds added to my balance. I like using this option for the very rare times I order something that I'm not sure I'll end up keeping, such as buying shoes or other clothing. I've been using this sunscreen on my kids and even myself! It's been a great addition to our diaper bag. I like that the formula isn't runny, which makes application much less messy than some liquid sunscreens we've tried. It glides onto the skin easily. Most importantly, it works well and has provided reliable sun protection during outdoor activities, and I don't have to worry about it leaking in my bag. You will be bright white but not get burnt!

I have sensitive and dry skin so most common to find products are just way too harsh for my skin. I didn't want to go the chemical route as my face would feel like it was on fire if I was in the sun with those chemical sunscreens. I also didn't like that the chemical sunscreens were not reef friendly and endocrine disrupters. Since our skin is the biggest organ, whatever you slather on is going to get absorbed into the body and system--I try to minimize the risk. I knew I had to go the physical sunblock route and avoiding titanium oxide which isn't as safe as zinc oxide. Once you get all your requirements of what you want to avoid to stay healthy and safe (what's the point of sun protection to avoid burning and skin cancer but you end up getting other health issues by what you put on your skin anyways....defeats the purpose). I was looking for a sunblock that had at least 20% non-nano zinc oxide, small ingredient list, and water resistant. This sunblock checked all the boxes. Sure it is small but it makes it easier to keep in your purse so you can reapply it as needed. You definitely will look quite white but I solved that by mixing it with a tinted sunblock or you can put in some foundation as others do to reduce the mime/clown/dead person look. It lasted well and I was not burnt in full Florida sun-even with some sweat it didn't burn or go in my eyes and the little stick made it easy to apply when I did smear some off my face on accident. When it came time to wash my face off, even with my mild cleanser, I just needed to make sure I really got my soap frothy and gently massaged my face to get it all off. My face was not red or irritated and no burns so it's a win! There are a lot of sunscreens out there but with the chemicals that they use to 'absorb' the UVA/UVB rays...you are trading off for other health issues. So I know a lot of people prefer the chemical ones because they absorb better and blend in sheer but just remember that it is absorbing straight into your body and will give you other issues. There are enough additives and junk in everything else, let's be careful about what we put on our skin.
