Often one of the first flowers to bloom in spring, its fragrant aroma attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. 

Spanish Lavender prefers full sun and well-drained, light, sandy soil that isn’t too rich. During the growing season in spring and summer, give it a hearty drink once a week, then ease up on the watering in the fall and winter. Once fall arrives, after the flowers have faded, give it a little trim—reducing its size by about half—to encourage bushier growth and a delightful bumper crop of flowers next season. Though a hard freeze may cause it to lose a few leaves, this herb is evergreen warmer climates.
