The Zygo Cactus, scientifically known as Schlumbergera truncata, is a beautiful epiphytic succulent. It features flat, glossy segmented stems and stunning flowers that can bloom in red, pink, or white. Please note that flower colors may vary, and we cannot guarantee a specific color.

Blooming Season
This festive plant earns its name because it blooms from late November to January, making it a perfect gift for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations.

Care Tips
Caring for a Christmas Cactus is relatively easy, but it does have some specific needs to thrive and bloom beautifully:

  • Light: Prefers partial sun or dappled light. It thrives in low light but benefits from bright light during its growing season (April to September). Avoid direct sunlight.

  • Humidity: Unlike many cacti, this plant enjoys humidity. Frequent misting will keep it happy.

  • Watering: Keep the soil gently moist during the growing season. Water once a week while it’s blooming. When dormant, allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings, adjusting to every two weeks. Avoid letting the roots sit in water to prevent root rot.

  • Promoting Blooms: To encourage blooming, keep the plant in the dark for most of the day. About six hours of light daily is sufficient.

Signs of Health
Your Christmas Cactus is healthy when it has plump green leaves and plenty of blooms. Watch for signs of distress, like:

  • Under-Watering: Wrinkled or puckered leaves.
  • Over-Watering: Leaves with brown spots or mold.

If your plant shows these signs, check the pot. If it’s dry, give it water; if it’s wet, remove the plant, trim any rotting roots, and repot it in fresh soil to avoid water buildup.

ARC Review 3.75 ⭐️, rounded up to 4 ⭐️’s. I really enjoyed the book and think the author did a good job of drawing her readers into this couple’s world. The characters were complex, but well developed. Even the side characters were amazing. The setting of the story was well thought out and came to life on the pages. There were definitely some plot twists that I didn’t see coming, and some that were anticipated, but with the way they were timed I was still shocked when it happened. And while this wasn’t the spiciest book I’ve ever read, the spice was definitely there. When it hit, it hit hard! Overall, I really enjoyed Evie and Maddox’s story. There were some things that seemed repetitive and that could’ve flowed better for me, and there were errors that a good editor should have caught. I definitely look forward to more books from this author though and am thankful for the opportunity to ARC read this book. This is a book you definitely want to check the trigger warnings before starting. It is packed with trauma and subjects that could be difficult for some readers. Instantly Needed More...

Tuesday James... lord have MERCY!! I cannot believe this was your first book, to think that you are just getting started terrifies me and leaves me on the edge of my seat! The absolute chokehold that this book has had on me... cannot be put into words. I waited for this book to be released. I saw teaser reels on IG and saved it on my TBR and patiently waited. The moment it became available I DEVOURED it! I read it in one day, and it is definitely in my top favorites of all time and I read a lot. I love a romance book that has a deeper, twisty, trauma filled plot. I like a book about people some would call damaged, (with jagged edges 😉) that have tons of baggage and are an ever evolving work in progress. Maddox and Evie had me from the jump. I have a soft spot for victims of domestic violence and all other forms of abuse as I grew up in a similar environment and when I say that this book captured and represented victims of DV beautifully, I mean it with my whole chest. I saw so many similarities in Evie that I could relate to and how she didn't want to be saved she wanted someone to stand beside her... and boy oh boy was that Maddox Wilder! Maddox is haunted by his own ghosts and after meeting Evie they bond over their pasts and push each other to be better. Evie is the definition of a single mom doing the very best that she can, and I loved every second of sweetness Tuesday shared of her adorable twin boys. I found myself thinking several times, I want to be in Evie and Louisiana's friend circle. This book is angsty, full of funny banter, suspenseful, filled with little boy cuteness/silliness and full of all the steamy good parts. Definitely read the trigger warnings, as it explores darker themes and may not be for everyone. For me this one was a 12 out of 10 and Tuesday James will be an automatic read for me. Do not even get me started on my anticipation for Mr. Mercy Wilder because do not have words. I also CANNOT WAIT for Louisiana's book, I fell in love with her instantly. Do yourself a favor and read this book, it had all the things. And Tuesday, please do us all favor and keep writing books like this one that embed in my brain and I cannot stop thinking about!!
