Specifications of Crossandra Seeds

Crossandra, commonly known as Kanakambaram, is a flowering plant prized for its vibrant blooms. They can be grown easily, cheaply, and healthily. Larger varieties thrive in open ground areas, while smaller varieties can be grown in grow bags, pots, or hanging baskets. Avoid planting them too close to prevent fungal attacks.

Benefits / Uses of Crossandra

  • Rich in essential nutrients
  • Attractive, long-lasting blooms ideal for gardens and ornamental use
  • Open-pollinated seeds allow for reuse from harvested plants

Planting and Care for Crossandra

  • Sowing Crossandra Seeds: Sow seeds in moist soil inside a grow bag, planting them 1/4 inch deep. Pre-soaking seeds in warm water overnight can speed up germination.
  • Growing Crossandra: Requires a warm climate and adequate moisture. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Avoid overwatering to prevent cracked fruit and corky spots on leaves. Ensure good soil aeration and avoid exposure to direct sunlight until germination.
  • Harvesting Crossandra: Early-season blooms take 50-60 days, mid-season blooms take 60-80 days, and late-season blooms take 80 or more days.

Precautions While Growing Crossandra

  • Use loam, sticky soil with a pH level of 5.5 to 7.0.
  • Handle pests and diseases with appropriate pesticides and fungicides.
  • Maintain good drainage, light, and aeration. Use artificial light if necessary, keeping seedlings 2 to 4 inches below fluorescent lamps to avoid weak growth.
  • Control humidity, clean old plant debris, remove weeds, and use overhead watering to prevent diseases.

Common Problems and Solutions

  • Susceptibility to pests and diseases similar to tomatoes.
  • Yellowing or purple leaves may indicate nutrient deficiencies.
  • Control problems with proper fertilization, crop rotation, and natural fungicides like baking soda and compost tea.

Worked like a charm
As others have commented.... these do in fact fit on the Brute Force 750 wheels but stick out 1/4" further than OEM Brute Force center caps. Since there are so many more Brute Force 750's than Teryx 1000's I'm wondering why this company doesn't mold the replacement Brute Force 750 caps. I'm using these on my rear wheels and I'm happy to not be paying Kawasaki's outrageous price for a poorly designed center cap.

They match the OEM ones!
They are just as good as the OEM caps and fit perfectly. I found if you put a small piece of rubber with adhesive on 3 of the tabs they hold better. I did it on all of them including the oem.

Good buy and good replacement for stock
I can’t keep these on my UTV, so it’s good to find a reasonably priced alternative.

Definitely keeps your hands warm !!
Color: Black
These fit nicely on a H.D. Road King. If you bike has heated grips you can drive in 30 deg F weather with only a thin pair of leather gloves. Update: They kept our hands toasty with the heaters on Level 2 and just wearing a thin pair of leather gloves (for grip) while riding in temps down in the low 30's, high 20's. I would definitely recommend these... the photo in the ad is pretty indicative of how they fit on handlebars. They're really designed for ATV's that have no turn signal lamps on the handlebars. Without modification, they do cover the handlebar mounted turn signals on a Sportster, but not on a Roadking. The draw string that seals the mittens around the handlebar could have a more positive grip to stay closed... we wound up double tying it around bar and that works great. The thing we like most aside from how warm they are (the lining feels great)... is that the cuffs are fairly rigid and don't collapse when you take you hands out (like the photo) which makes it super easy to pull you hands out and put 'em back in again. That's really important at a stop light, but even more important when flying down the road at highway speeds... you just can't afford to be fooling around trying to thread your hands and a coat sleeve back into mittens that are limp and flop down closed when you take you hands out... I hope this help... be safe !!
