This species is both male and female and is pollinated by insects. It is highly attractive to hummingbirds and many other pollinators. A wonderful landscape plant that will self-seed itself readily so it needs to be contained or it will naturalize and potentially become invasive. A great feature plant for a specific location in your garden. A stand out with its weeping-like rose-coloured florals, 'Ladyfinger' will easily reach 6-8 feet in height. Protect from high winds and do not over-fertilize or the stems can develop weakened cell wall structure. Makes a great cut flower!

Growing Information: Seeds require a cold period for germination of 4 weeks. Pre-soak for 24 hours, then direct sow at 1/8 inch depth after last frost. Can also be direct sown in late fall to experience natural stratification.
