This plant has been used for so many years that it has acquired several magical uses. One of the most notable is that it has the property of blessing and protecting homes. In addition to attracting good luck, money, and fortune in business. Having this little plant at home brings all good things.

Its name

It is not only known as the Rose of Jericho. It has more than one name. They also call it doradilla or the resurrection plant. This last nickname reaffirms all the magical ideas that surround it.

The exact moment it was given the name Rose of Jericho, or why, is not truly known. It is believed that travelers found it and brought it to Jericho in the early centuries of the Middle Ages. But there isn't much more information about it.

Prayer to the Holy Rose of Jericho

There is the following prayer addressed to this plant: Divine Rose of Jericho: By the Blessing you received from Our Lord Jesus Christ, by the virtue you contain and by the power granted, help me to overcome life's difficulties, grant me health, strength, happiness, tranquility and peace in my home, luck in my business, skill in work to earn more money to cover my needs and those of my home and all my family. Divine Rose of Jericho: All this I ask of you by the virtue you contain, in love for Christ Jesus and His great mercy. Amen. At the end of the prayer, three Our Fathers should be recited.

Instructions for turning the Rose of Jericho into an amulet

The Rose of Jericho should be placed in a deep dish with water, at 9:00 AM or 3:00 PM on a Tuesday or Friday. It should be left in the water for three consecutive days, removing it from the container at the same time it was placed and uttering the prayers with Faith. The water remaining in the dish is used to sprinkle the corners of the house door, from the outside. This repels bad influences and attracts Peace, Power, and Abundance. Depending on our needs, the ritual will vary.

  • To get more money. The Rose of Jericho should be placed in a large container almost entirely covered with water. In the container, five legal tender coins from any country, preferably yellow (gold or copper), should be placed. The prayer should be said daily, according to one's needs.
  • To eliminate tension and envy. Place the Rose of Jericho in a deep dish with water, completely covering the roots and leaving the leaves exposed. The ideal is to do it on a Tuesday or Friday, either at 9:00 AM or 3:00 PM. Leave the plant for three consecutive days (the prayer must be recited every day) and remove it at the same time it was placed. Then let the flower dry again. With the water from the dish, sprinkle the corners of the house door and splash it in the air from balconies, while uttering the wish for Peace and Love. The operation must be repeated for seven consecutive weeks.
  • To get a job or any other goal. The Rose of Jericho should be placed in a large container until it is covered with water. Then the wish should be written on paper (parchment, plastic, vegetable paper, etc.) in pencil or indelible ink. The paper is rolled up with a small iron or magnet stone and this packet is tied to the roots of the plant, always on a new or waxing moon, leaving it until the full moon. The prayer should be performed for six days, adding the specific request with Faith. If the request is for health, it should start on Monday; if for work, on Tuesday; if for exams or travel, on Wednesday; if for business or signing documents, on Thursday; if for love, on Friday; if for pregnancies, happy births or reconciliations, on Saturday; and on Sunday, if for matters of luck, well-being and harmony.
  • For Peace and Happiness in the home. Place the Rose of Jericho in a container of water and cover it completely. Leave it in a container, in a corner of the living room or bedroom, and add water when it's low or change it if it becomes cloudy. Say the prayer once a day.
