Myrtillocactus geometrizans CRESTED FORMS freshly harvested. The Myrtillocactus geometrizans crested forms are among the most fascinating cactus variations, admired for their dramatic, fan-shaped growth. Unlike the typical columnar structure, these rare forms develop undulating, wavy ridges that resemble living sculptures. Their blue-green skin with contrasting small spines adds further character, making them stand out as centerpiece plants in collections.

Collectors value Myrtillocactus geometrizans crested forms for their unpredictability. Each seed-grown specimen can show different cresting patterns, from compact folds to broad, fan-like displays. Over time, the plant grows into an extraordinary shape, combining bold color, unusual texture, and striking symmetry. Mature plants may even reward growers with small white-green flowers and later dark purple fruits.

  • Rare crested growth with sculptural wave-like forms.

  • Blue-green stems create strong architectural impact.

  • Each seedling develops a unique cresting pattern.

  • Can produce edible purple berries when mature.

  • A collector’s must-have for unusual cactus forms.

Finally, the Myrtillocactus geometrizans crested forms combine rarity, artistry, and resilience. Growing them from seed ensures a one-of-a-kind specimen that evolves into a true living masterpiece.

Flaky and Doesn't Handle Moisture Well
Size: 36 PACK
The plates have a tiny amount of twist in the center and quite a bit of doming when flexed. While the outer edges are entirely floppy. Most of the center is smooth, but there are rough patches that flake off paper pieces when rubbed with a spoon or from a lot of moisture from food. The flat surface (not the inner walls) was able to withstand still water for about 10 minutes before weakening, so I wouldn't use it for wet or very moist foods.

Thinner Than Chinet, Far More Expensive
Size: 12 PACK
These platters are about the same size and shape as Chinet platters and are reminiscent of them in construction and form. However, these plates are about half as thick as a Chinet and at $10 for just 12 plates, that makes them FAR more expensive than Chinet which a 30-pack of their platters can be had for less than $7. So no, I won't be getting any more of these much thinner, much more expensive plates when Chinet offers a product that's usually sturdier than you need for far less than these platters. If they were cheaper than Chinet by a fair amount I'd have given them 5 stars as they're thick enough for most uses and thumbs up for compostability, but I have to call out the overpriced nature of them.
