1. Soak the Bottom half for 15 minutes
2. Make sure tube is completely full and install the digital reading top.
3. Insert into soil (wait 15 minutes) and then press the power button to get a reading.
Notice: Best to wait 10-20 minutes for accurate reading or when reading stops moving.

Dryer mediums pull harder on the water inside the sensor, while moist mediums exert less pressure.
