Description:

Dieffenbachia ‘Spotty’ is a vibrant, eye-catching indoor foliage plant known for its large, lush leaves splashed with creamy white and lime-green variegation. The dramatic speckled pattern gives every leaf a painterly, tropical appearance—perfect for brightening living rooms, bedrooms, offices, and shaded corners that need a bold pop of colour.

Plant Care:

  1. Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its striking variegation. Can tolerate medium light, but patterns may become less defined.
Avoid direct sun—it can scorch the leaves.
  2. Water: Water once a week, allowing the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry between waterings. Keep soil lightly moist but never soggy.
Overwatering can lead to yellowing leaves and root rot.
  3. Humidity: Thrives in 50–70% humidity.
Mist occasionally or place near a humidifier in dry indoor environments.
  4. Soil: Use a well-draining indoor plant mix and make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water from sitting in the soil for too long.
  5. Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
  6. Pruning: Prune off yellow or damaged leaves as needed.
  7. Toxicity: It is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, so be sure to keep it out of reach.

Dieffenbachia ‘Spotty’ is an easy, rewarding indoor plant that thrives in bright indirect light and appreciates consistent weekly watering. Its stunning speckled foliage brings bold tropical character to any space with very little effort. With proper light, humidity, and occasional feeding, this plant stays lush, vibrant, and full year-round—making it a favourite for both beginners and seasoned plant lovers.

Our plants are always supplied with nursery pot. Please note, therefore, that the size specifications always refer to the height of the plant including the plant pot. Deviations of a few centimeters cannot always be ruled out as you are buying a natural living product. The height depends on several factors and can also vary slightly seasonally. The mentioned height of the plant is inclusive of the pot.

Fun for Pups and You Can Hide a Treat Inside!
These chew toys are fun for my pup! He especially loves that I can hide a treat inside, which keeps him interested and entertained. They’re a nice size for small dogs and puppies, and I also like the light colors because they’re easy to spot when they end up under the sofa because somehow they always do!

Cute toys but not for tough chewers. Might be too thick for my 6 lb girl
These are fun for the right dog, but not a good choice for all. They're a good size for medium dogs and some small dogs, but "small" is relative I guess and the size of this toy won't work for all small dogs. I definitely expected these to be smaller, though I measured and they are the size shown in the listing (for those in the US it's about 2 1/4" by 4 3/4"). I think one thing that surprised me is how tall (?) they are, or maybe thick? They show two measurements in the listing but not the other. That's the one that makes a big difference with small dogs, especially really small dogs like mine. I have a 6 lb Maltese with a teeny tiny mouth so I have to find toys that she can fit her teeny mouth around. She loves toys with nubbies and has other "spiky" toys like this, but so far hasn't been too interested and I wonder if it's because it's too thick. If she doesn't give them a try we have doggy friends who are big enough for them, more the 12-16 lb size. There was a bit of smell on them when I first opened the package, but after giving them a quick wash (which I do with all chew toys like this) the smell was completely gone. Whatever it was must have just been on the outside because it hasn't come back. I can't really say how durable these are, but I doubt they'd be good for tough chewers. They're not super soft but in the world of dog chewing they're medium at best. They're very cute and if you have a medium to soft chewer they could be a great addition to the toy basket. They also have a hole down the middle which could be filled with something to lick out, another way to keep them busy. Can't say any of this makes them worth the rather high price asked though.

Good for puppies!
I work with dog fosters and we recently got a new batch of puppies. These worked great for them, especially because they want to chew on everything!

Be careful, not for strong chewers
Sad to give a 1-star review on these bones, I had such high hopes. They’re a great size and design, and my dog was excited to get one when I gave it to her… until I happened to look down at her, having just given her the toy moments before, and she had chewed off a large chunk and was trying to ingest it! Fortunately I caught this and was able to get it out of her mouth before she swallowed it. My girl loves chewing on toys like this but I guess she’s too aggressive of a chewer for these(?) though she’s NEVER chewed a piece off of a toy before. Sadly this bone, and the remaining two in the bag, went in the trash.
