In our experience the variegation of this plant can be quite random and varies considerably from leaf to leaf. It can put out a leaf barely flecked with pink, but follow it up with a beautiful mostly pink leaf. If it does put out more dark leaves that you would like, we have found that cutting the plant back will sometimes result in more variegated growth from the nodes.
