A deciduous winter hardy species that been naturalized from East China and Japan, to some parts of Africa. Its original origin is unknown since it has been in cultivation for centuries. It is one of the original sources of natural indigo dye. It grows up to about 3 feet tall and makes somewhat trailing woody fine stems, feathered leaves and rich pink or violet flowers in axillary racemes. Flowers are followed by seed pods (to 2” long). The leaves and flowers are edible and can be boiled and eaten.
For medicinal herb purposes the root is crushed and prepared into decoction, and given for abdominal disorders, leucorrhoea, all types of toxicities etc. The leaves are crushed, prepared into decoction and given for toxicities, fever, arthritis etc. The leaf juice is given along with honey twice daily for jaundice, inflammation of liver etc. For poisonous bites the samoolam or the whole plant is ground and applied as a paste over the bitten area. Also the leaf juice is given internally to a patient. As always consult a professional first as this is for informational purposes only and side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea and gastrointestinal spasms.
It may be an annual, biennial, or perennial, depending on the climate in which it is grown. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Established plants tolerate some drought and require little maintenance. A valuable addition to borders with its beautiful foliage and flowers, where mass plantings and ground cover is needed. Also can be container grown for patios and porches. USDA zone: 5-9.
It does attract butterflies and its pollinated by various insects. It will fix nitrogen! The plant is a legume, so it is rotated into fields to improve the soil in the same way that other legume crops such as alfalfa and beans are. This species does contain alkaloids that make the plant toxic and unpalatable for grazing animals.

arm holes too large, shirt too long, size down

I am 110 pounds and 5’2”. I ordered a small. The fabric feels awesome. The neck area and straps are perfect. However, the arm holes are quite large. The bottom of the arm hole isn’t straight down, flush with the shirt. It angels outward. If you lift your arms up it looks odd.
I should have ordered an extra small. But even if I do that, I still think the arm hole will look odd. I will likely return this or wear it at night or at the gym with yoga pants. The shirt is a tad bit long. If you wear short shorts, the shirt would cover your shorts.

WELL CONSTRUCTED. GOOD STITCHING ON NECKLINE AND SLEEVES. GOOD FOR TALL PERSON.

The Automet women's loose-fit tank top is sized just right for me. I'm 5'11', 200 lbs., 57 years old. I've got some back fat that would be obvious in a tight top. This tank is loose enough to hide my back fat but not too loose. From the front, it does not appear loose at all. It's the back area that has extra room. It has a nice, scooped hem. One special feature is the double stitching on the neck and shoulders. It is well-made. It looks more expensive than it is. I bought the Automet tank top in the color orange. It is NOT see-through, nor is it thick. I live in Arizona, in the desert part, where it gets hot. This tank is thin enough to keep me comfortable from May to October when the heat hits. It's hard for me to find the "perfect" tank. I've tried so many. I feel you would be wise to give this tank a try. Worst case, you return it. I love the orange one so much, I plan to purchase all the colors for this hot summer coming up. I wish all of you the same happiness I have found with the Automet tank top.

The perfect throw-on athletic dress (with built-in shorts!)

Perfect for summer days.

I absolutely love this little athletic summer dress. I typically wear a size ten and ordered this in a medium and it's a perfect fit. I have the straps short so way it doesn't look baggy. It is super soft and comfortable. It is breathable and a perfect cut and length for me so so I plan on wearing it all during hot summer days. This is very versatile and easy to style by layering different things underneath it. I have a gray and leopard sports bra that is a really close shade of gray so it almost looks like it's one piece. I plan to order the teal as I have a swimsuit top that will match that color spot on. It seems like it is good quality and should hold up well to normal usage. I like that it has really big pockets , but I likely will not use them often lol. I just like the fact that if I need to have pockets they are there.
