Lavandula 'Ellagance Pink': A Soft Twist on a Classic Favourite

With its pale rose-pink blooms and classic lavender fragrance, Lavandula 'Ellagance Pink' offers a romantic variation on the beloved English lavender. Upright spikes rise above neat mounds of silver-green foliage, blending soft colour with aromatic charm. It’s a pollinator magnet and a standout in borders, containers, and cutting gardens alike.

Plant Characteristics:

  • Height: 30–40 cm
  • Spread: 30–35 cm, compact and mounded
  • Flower Colour: Soft pink with silvery-lavender tones
  • Flowering Period: Early to midsummer, with potential for rebloom
  • Foliage: Aromatic, narrow silver-green leaves
  • Sunlight Requirements: Full sun
  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil; drought-tolerant once established

Uses and Benefits: Lavandula 'Ellagance Pink' brings gentle colour and rich fragrance to sunny borders, rock gardens, and edging plantings. Its compact habit makes it ideal for containers or herb gardens, while its blooms attract bees, butterflies, and admiration alike. A standout in both fresh and dried arrangements, this variety combines ornamental beauty with sensory delight.

Companion Plants: Pair Lavandula 'Ellagance Pink' with Nepeta 'Cat's Pajamas', whose cool blue blooms echo lavender’s form and extend the bloom season. Add Achillea 'Little Moonshine' for sunny yellow contrast and shared drought tolerance. Finish with Festuca 'Elijah Blue', whose icy foliage mirrors lavender’s silvery tones and provides low, grassy structure.

Care Instructions: Plant in full sun with sharply drained soil. Avoid heavy clay and wet winter conditions. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage rebloom. Cut back more firmly in early spring to promote fresh, bushy growth.

History: Lavandula 'Ellagance Pink' is part of the award-winning Ellagance Series, known for early flowering, uniform compact growth, and cold hardiness. Bred for ornamental use, it offers an elegant pastel variation on a beloved garden staple.

Final Thoughts: A gentle twist on traditional lavender, Lavandula 'Ellagance Pink' brings softness, fragrance, and pollinator charm to the sunniest corners of the garden—subtle, serene, and endlessly inviting.

Bright and way cooler than standard whip lights!!
I got these for our Jeep as a cool accessory. We installed them and wow are they bright!!! Out on the trails at night it looks like there are two towers of light following the jeep, it is neat. They install easily and include everything needed for the installation. All the hardware is well built and sealed to last in the conditions that you would expect these to be used in, hot, dusty, sandy, cold and wet. The housings are all aluminum and sealed from the elements. The connections to the lights are insert and then screw connector to seal, that way the connections don’t get corroded and fail. Everyone we have seen has asked about them and have really been impressed with the brightness of the light and quality of the craftsmanship. The only thing that I would say is a negative is the remote control, it is small and I am afraid I am going to lose it in the Jeep so I can’t imagine how it would be in an open-air vehicle, but there are ways to keep track of it. Because the whip lights are not standard flailing sticks, they do not get caught on branches or have the potential for the sprint to break while out on the trail. I am happy with the purchase even if they were a little expensive, the convenience and attractive looks made a huge difference.

Very cool light without the long whips
Yes, it was tough to change to whipless but it also meant I could benefit from the lighting without huge whips behind me. It’s a personal choice but these worked out great. Highly visible and bright and the install was pretty straightforward and simple. You get everything you need with the kit. They look good and seem to be holding up durability wise very well. Overall, I may not stay with them over time but it won’t be because of quality or function. It’ll be because I want to see the long whips again behind me.
