Trichocereus pachanoi monstrose 'San Pedro Cactus' Highlights:

  • Trichocereus pachanoi monstrose 'San Pedro Cactus' is a rare mutation of the Trichocereus pachanoi, and is a fast-growing columnar cactus that grows to form a small tree of large bumpy green stems. This unique cactus has the ability to morph into a crest.
  • Easily propagated from offsets.
  • Produce large white flowers that typically bloom during the night  in the spring and remain open during the day.
  • Hardy to Zone 9 (20° F). Trichocereus pachanoi monstrose will not survive a hard frost. If there is only a risk of freezing temperatures for a few days, most succulents do just fine outside if they are covered by frost cloth or a sheet until temperatures increase (I'm talking to you, Zone 9 friends). There are reports of Trichocereus pachanoi being cold hardy to 10° F, but we haven't personally tested this.
Trichocereus Care: As with all cactus, it is best to follow a "soak and dry" schedule where you water your plants deeply (until water runs out the bottom drain holes), and then allow your soil to dry completely before watering again. Cactus should always be planted in well-draining cactus and succulent soil and in a pot or container that has drain holes.

It doesn’t stay in
The pipe keeps coming out. Not worth the money. Not sturdy to hold a top table.
