Watering can be significantly decreased during the winter months when the aglaonema plant is not in its active growing season.
You should practice pruning Chinese evergreens annually to remove any dead or underperforming leaves. Yellow or brown foliage is typically a sign of under or overwatering.
Chinese evergreen soil needs to be well draining and slightly acidic. Amendments like perlite and peat moss are a wonderful addition to add to your potting mix to help with aeration and drainage.
