What botanicals are in the blend and where do they come from?
Dreamhaven contains: Cedarwood (Himalayan) — a woody, grounding base note from Cedrus deodara; Lavender — Lavandula Angustifolia, the classic true lavender; Lemon Verbena — a citrus-herb top note from Aloysia citrodora; and Ylang Ylang (Complete) — a rich floral note from Cananga odorata. All four are 100% pure essential oils with no added carriers.
How long does a 10ml bottle last?
At 5–7 drops per diffuser session, a 10ml bottle (approximately 200 drops) provides around 30–40 sessions. Usage will vary depending on session length and the number of drops used per session.
Can I apply it directly to skin?
No. Undiluted essential oils require dilution before skin contact. Ylang Ylang in particular is known to be sensitising at high concentrations. Dilute with a suitable carrier oil (such as sweet almond or jojoba) at 1–3% concentration for adults. Perform a patch test before wider application. Not for use near eyes or mucous membranes.
Is it suitable for use around pets or children?
Ylang Ylang and Lemon Verbena may be unsuitable for use around pets (particularly cats) and very young children. Diffuse in a well-ventilated space and allow pets an exit route. Consult a relevant professional or veterinary practitioner if you have concerns.
What does 'Complete' mean for Ylang Ylang?
Ylang Ylang is distilled in stages: Extra, Grade I, Grade II, Grade III, and Complete. 'Complete' refers to the full distillation — all stages combined — which produces the most balanced aromatic profile across the full range of volatile compounds in the flower. Extra and Grade I are lighter; Complete has a more rounded, fuller aroma.
