DESCRIPTION
The Ginkgo biloba, also known as the Ginkgo or Maidenhair tree, is an ancient and resilient tree species originating from China. It features unique fan-shaped leaves and exhibits excellent resistance to pests and diseases.
Ginkgo trees thrive in full sun to partial shade, tolerating a wide range of light conditions. Direct sunlight for a few hours each day is beneficial for optimal growth.
Regarding toxicity, the edible seeds, known as ginkgo nuts, require proper preparation before consumption. Raw seeds may contain a toxic compound, so caution is advised. Seek reliable sources or expert guidance for safe consumption practices.
Overall, Ginkgo trees are low-maintenance and resilient, adding a touch of ancient beauty to any landscape when provided with proper care, including suitable soil, watering, and sunlight.
Important to know: As plants are natural products, form, pattern and colour will vary.
