Aglaonema 'Painted Celebration'

Aglaonema 'Painted Celebration' is a colourful Chinese evergreen with broad, glossy leaves patterned in green, cream and pink. It grows as a self-heading clump, with new petioles rising from the centre and gradually building a rounded plant.

Its pattern shifts from leaf to leaf, with pale fields, pink speckling and green margins creating a lively mixed pattern. This variation creates a bright, mixed-colour crown while the growth stays compact enough for indoor display.

Aglaonema 'Painted Celebration' colour traits

  • Broad-leaved Aglaonema with a neat basal crown
  • Green, cream and pink patterning across glossy leaves
  • Variable speckling and pale sections on each new blade
  • Short stems and fleshy petioles typical of Chinese evergreens
  • Display clearly where the full crown can be seen from above or the side

Glossy mixed foliage and crown shape

Aglaonema 'Painted Celebration' belongs to the Araceae family and follows the typical Chinese evergreen growth pattern: short rhizomatous stems, long-stalked leaves and a compact evergreen form.

Wild Aglaonema species grow in warm, sheltered forest habitats across tropical Asia and New Guinea. Indoors, keep it in steady warmth, filtered light and a substrate that balances moisture with drainage.

The pale parts of the leaves are the most sensitive areas. Strong light, cold damage and irregular watering usually show there first as dry marks, translucent patches or uneven edges.

Care guide for Aglaonema 'Painted Celebration'

  • Light: Grow in bright indirect light with protection from strong sun. Pale cream and pink sections can mark quickly behind hot glass.
  • Water: Let the top 2–3 cm dry, then water evenly through the pot. Empty any standing water from the cover pot after drainage finishes.
  • Substrate: Use a lightly moisture-retentive mix with coco fibre, fine bark and perlite. The texture needs to stay open after repeated watering.
  • Drainage: Keep the lower pot airy. A heavy, compact mix increases the risk of yellowing and soft petiole bases.
  • Temperature: Maintain 18–28 °C. Patterned Aglaonema leaves are sensitive to cold draughts and winter windowsills.
  • Humidity: Moderate humidity reduces sticking and crisping on new leaves. In dry rooms, group with other tropical plants or use a humidifier.
  • Feeding: Feed monthly at low strength during active growth. Flush the substrate occasionally if tap water or fertiliser salts build up.
  • Repotting: Move up one pot size when the root ball is full. Keep the new container proportionate to the crown.
  • Leaf care: Clean leaves gently with a damp cloth so the mixed pattern stays clear and the surface keeps its natural gloss.
  • Propagation: Divide established multi-crown plants in warm conditions, keeping each section with roots and active shoots.

Pale-leaf, crown and pest checks

  • Brown marks in pale areas: Check for direct sun, cold glass contact or dry root stress, then move the plant into gentler light.
  • Washed-looking new leaves: Review light distance and feeding strength. Very weak growth can follow low light combined with depleted substrate.
  • Yellowing from the base: Inspect the root ball and lower substrate. Persistent wetness is the usual cause in compact Aglaonema crowns.
  • Curled edges: Check watering intervals, warm airflow from heaters and root dryness near the pot edge.
  • Distorted emerging leaves: Inspect the newest growth and petiole bases for thrips, mites, scale or mealybugs.

Engaging and Fun, But Lacks Durability for Strong-Gripped Dogs
Color: Green
The internal mechanism of this toy works very well, and the ball’s movement immediately caught the attention of my Boxer pup. He was absolutely fascinated and spent hours each day playing with it. However, while the toy’s design is engaging, the durability of the exterior leaves much to be desired—especially for dogs who tend to pick things up with a firm grip. We didn’t know what to expect since our pup hadn’t previously played with an interactive ball, so we supervised playtime and made sure to store the ball in a safe spot when we couldn’t keep an eye on him. Despite this, the ball didn’t hold up. Our pup wasn’t intentionally chewing it. He simply carried the ball in his mouth when we moved downstairs or to another room, yet the grip while he carried the ball caused significant damage to the exterior. Within about a week of regular use (approximately 40 hours in total), the ball’s outer layer became deeply gouged by his teeth. To clarify, my pup wasn’t biting down hard or trying to destroy it, but his natural grip while carrying the ball left deep grooves in the surface. In just days, these gouges made the exterior sharp to the touch and compromised the structure. By the end of the week, we couldn’t screw the cover back together after removing it to recharge the ball, which made it unusable. And I was dismayed that there aren’t replacements readily available. Overall, my pup absolutely loved this toy — it was engaging and kept him entertained for hours. However, if your dog has a strong grip or frequently carries toys in their mouth, this may not hold up as well as expected. It’s a great concept but needs a more durable outer layer and replacement hard covers to make it a long-term investment.

My dog loves this ball
Color: Green
The battery on this lasts forever. The random on/off motion and when it gets touched inducing motion just keeps my dog guessing and occupied for a long time. My dog's tail is wagging the whole time.

Great ball
I have bought two of these in different colors. My Yorkie loves them. They’re very interactive even if you don’t put the cover on it they move and if he’s not playing with it, it tends to go into sleep mode.My Yorkie got the cover off the ball within the first two minutes. But he loves the ball. Now bought 2nd ball. The ones with covers don’t work he rips the covers off.

Super Fun
Color: Green
One of the most entertaining things you could buy. The dogs go crazy over it and have so much fun. It's a bit loud on hard floors, but honestly worth it for the laughs. Seems pretty durable too. I have 2 labs; one started out uninterested and the other started off scared of it, but not too long after, they both started going crazy, tossing and carrying it around while it shook.
