During the warm summer months, Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' is a fresh, lime-green color. It is during the colder months of winter into early spring that 'Gold Nugget' becomes the star of the rock garden. As the weather turns chilly, the rosettes begin to turn yellow. From late winter into early spring, 'Gold Nugget' glows a brilliant gold color, with each leaf tipped with electric orangy-red. To see Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' in its full neon glory is definitely an OMG experience!! Like the Hen & Chicks you're familiar with, Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' is easy to grow in a sunny spot with average, well drained soil. Excellent in hot, dry situations and perfect in rock gardens, troughs, vertical gardens, and succulent container gardens. A childhood favorite that stuck with me.

I only read this book once, spread up over multiple days as a dyslexic kids who really had trouble reading and limited book options. This book stuck out to my brain for DECADES now. even now when i see a little cow figure i remember this silly little book. now will I promise this book will change your kids life? no of course not, but i will say out of a sea of “see spot run” and basic moral lessons that flood targeted kids books this cute little story has the heart that never makes it a chore to read.
