Thistles need controlling because they:
- compete with grass for space, light, nutrients and water
- are unpalatable to stock
- lead to greater incidence of Orf
- reduce the available grazing
Use Thistlex because:
- It gives outstanding control of creeping thistle and spear thistle
- It gives up to 85% control 12 months after application
- It also has activity on common nettle and dandelion
Thistlex does not hold back grass growth after application
Maximise success – do it with PRIDE
Product: The combination of clopyralid and triclopyr maximises activity on thistles giving excellent lasting control.
Rate: Apply between 1st March and 31st October. Use once per year at a rate of 1.0 L/ha in a water volume of 200 L/ha. Use higher water volumes up to 400 L/ha where thistle numbers are high or the grass sward dense. Reducing water volume, to speed up spraying operations, leads to poorer long-term control of thistles.
Information: -
- Use on grazing grassland or silage, hay or haylage ground.
- Take stock out during spraying then return no sooner than 7 days later.
- Once sprayed, wait a minimum of 3 weeks prior to any planned cutting to maximise translocation into the thistle roots.
Density:
- Thistlex is not approved for use by hand-held equipment, e.g. knapsack or lance. Choose GrazonPro for these uses.
- Target actively growing plants in the rosette stage and up to 200mm across or high. If larger than this consider topping and spraying the regrowth 2-3 weeks later.
Environment: Avoid treating weeds suffering from waterlogging, drought stress or cold stress.

Sweet second-chance romance

When You Smile was my introduction to Melissa Brayden’s writing, and Dream a Little Dream confirmed that this author creates lovely stories with amazing characters.
This book was a sweet second-chance romance with enough sad moments to make me shed some tears.
It also has a surprise reveal that I didn’t see coming and a small-town community that made me feel warm and cozy.
I loved Kyle and Savanna. Their first meeting nearly got me giggling, but I was definitely kicking my feet and smiling like a fool.
Savanna was endearing and had a knack for public announcements. I felt deeply for her and truly understood her reaction after getting hurt. As for Kyle… is there a word to describe her? I could feel her aura bleed through my screen. Her flirting and ability to get through Savanna’s defense left me swooning one or two times. I honestly don’t know how Savanna managed to stand on business so 10 out of 10 for her effort.
I really enjoyed Dream a Little Dream and can’t wait to read another Melissa Brayden’s book.

Wonderful
Format: Paperback
This was a hard book to put down. The characters of Svanna & Kyle are so well developed, as our their families and friends, who just enhance the whole story. When Savanna is left on the bridge, my heart broke, was amended later, and fulfilled by the end of the book.

I loved this book right from the get-go. The snappy repartee between Savanna and Kyle made me laugh and shiver with delight all through this book. Loved this book so much

First, it’s a cute story with a great themes of: younger older woman, daughter‘s friend, disgruntled with family. I have to admit every time the main character was talking to her father I was so incredibly annoyed. It brought up all the conversations I’ve ever had with misogynist in my life. Definitely well written.
On happier notes; the love story, the meddling neighbor/landlord, cute child, and kittens! Really, what story isn’t made better by kittens?
Seriously this is an exceptionally well written story with fantastic characters, plot lines, and a great ending.
