Our favorite ground-covering succulent, Echeveria elegans, is every bit as elegant as its botanical name suggests. Commonly called Mexican Snowball, this easy succulent forms silvery blue rosettes about 4" tall and 5" across, then happily produces offsets to create a low, texturiffic carpet up to 16" wide.

This tidy echeveria is beautiful in succulent containers, rock gardens, troughs, small-scale groundcovers, and dry garden edges where its cool color and rounded form can be admired up close. In summer, long-lasting 8" arched stems rise above the rosettes, carrying pink and yellow lantern-like blooms for an extra little flourish of charm.

Plant Echeveria elegans in full sun to bright shade with fertile, well-drained soil. Easy to grow, deer resistant, and hardy to about 25 degrees F, Mexican Snowball is a wonderfully useful choice for collectors and new succulent gardeners alike. However, when wearing leggings, they stay in place and feel comfortable. At this stage, I’m satisfied with them. In the future, as I train more, I’ll probably upgrade to a higher-end set, but for starting out, these bands do the job well. I’d rate them 4 out of 5.

Rolls up easily

I purchased these bands after seeing all the positive reviews on Amazon. I like the color options and the variety of resistance bands, however the quality is not that great. Bands are thin and they roll up easily. I’ve used them both on bare skin (which I googled was not recommended because it irritates skin) and on top of leggings and both times the bands roll up. The bag it comes with is also very small and I basically have to roll up the bands to squeeze all of them in there. If you are a beginner at using bands, I think this product is alright. For more advanced workouts, would recommend better quality resistance bands.
