Columnea gloriosa ‘Black Gold’
Columnea gloriosa ‘Black Gold’ is a stunning variety of the Goldfish Plant known for its lush, dark green foliage and striking orange flowers that resemble tiny, leaping goldfish. This eye-catching houseplant is ideal for adding vibrant color and tropical flair to any indoor setting. The 'Black Gold' variety stands out with its unique flower color and robust growth. It is a captivating addition to hanging baskets or high shelves where its trailing vines can drape gracefully.
Easy to care for, this Goldfish Plant thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers a humid environment, mimicking its native tropical conditions. Regular watering and occasional feeding during the growing season will keep it blooming beautifully. 'Black Gold' is perfect for plant enthusiasts looking to diversify their collection with a visually interesting and rewarding species.
Goldfish Plant Basic Care: Easy
- Watering: Don't let it completely dry out. Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry.
- Light: Opt for bright, filtered light. Direct sunlight can burn the foliage, while too little light may cause leaves to drop.
- Soil/Drainage: It best suits a well-aerated, draining tropical mix, though it can handle a standard indoor potting mix.
- Temperature/Humidity: It's OK with average room temperatures and humidity but thrives in warmer and humid conditions.
