The reason for those spectacular red margins is bright light. To keep those holiday colors popping, place it where it receives plenty of sun, perhaps a south or west-facing window. If it starts to look pale green, it needs more light to produce that dramatic contrast.
Like most aloes, this plant is drought-tolerant, which answers the common concern about overwatering.
