Bring a slice of the tropics home with Musa ‘Dwarf Cavendish’—a compact banana plant with huge, paddle-like leaves that fan out in rich green, often streaked with maroon when young. While it rarely fruits indoors, it brings all the bold, jungle vibes and grows surprisingly fast in the right conditions.

Plant Care 

Light: Loves bright light—ideally full sun or very bright indirect light. Great by a sunny window or on a summer patio.

Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but never soggy. Let the top 2–3 cm dry out between waterings, and water more often during active growth. 

Temperature: Don't let these beauties freeze, or they will whither away! They will tolerate some cold but will stop growing. So if you are growing yours outside, then be sure to overwinter it before the first frost. Don't let your plant grow below 10 °C

Potting: Our A Sandy Loam mix is ideal—well-draining, nutrient-rich, and moisture-retentive without becoming compacted.

Hot tips: These are hungry plants, so give them fertiliser during the growing season. They love humidity, and yes, if this does become happy enough to produce fruit. It's edible!
