Nothing quite provides multi-season interest and a unique presentation like this weed-suppressing ground cover. Coming in at 4" inches tall, this plant is packed with personality. The lime green succulent leaves provide an interesting three dimensional texture that is offset by the cherry red edging. New growth springs upward in tightly packed clumps that form a carpet on your garden floor. In the late summer, large clusters of pink/red flowers appear and last over a month. Besides looking beautiful, sedum is known for being a tough plant for tough places. It handles full sun and dry conditions with ease and even shows its best colors when left unwatered. If you are looking for a colorful ground cover that can beat the summer sun and heat look no further than this little sedum.
