Brighten the world around you with seed balls! The mixture of clay and soil preserves the seeds in perfect conditions to burst into life when they are lobbed into barren areas that could do with seeding with wildflowers. On contact with rainwater the clay-and-soil mix will soften, the seeds will germinate, and within a few weeks the space will transform into a beautiful space for wildlife.

The seed balls contain native wildflower seeds. These hardy wildflowers will attract bees and butterflies, and turn neglected areas into mini nature havens.

Simply chuck them where you want them to grow. The success of the seeds will depend a bit on the soil they land on, so try to throw them somewhere that looks like it will support wild flowers if given the chance.

It's best to launch the seed balls between March and June, when they stand the best chance of germinating and growing.

Ingredients: Clay powder, humus and soil mix (approved for organic gardening) bee-friendly organically approved seeds

What's the difference between a seed ball and a seed bomb?

Seed balls have been a strategy for successful sowing for thousands of years. They were re-discovered and popularised by Masanobu Fukuoka as a means of protecting seeds from predators and giving them the best conditions to start growing in. Guerrilla Planting is a movement that has sprung up from people's desire to see plants and trees in areas that don't have them but should. This might in in abandoned urban locations or rural places that have become bereft of trees or wildflowers. As soon as you chuck a seed ball in a place that isn't yours and you don't (necessarily) have the landowner's permission, it has become a seed bomb and you've become a guerrilla gardener!

A Must Have For The Beginner
Format: Kindle
So I've had an the opportunity to spend time with this book and I have to say that I'm very satisfied. Normally when you're reading tech books that claim to be for beginners they assume that you know things and skips steps, but this book doesn't do that. I went from being super intimidated about programming and back end development, but this book eases your mind and makes you feel like you can do anything. And after reading it you start looking at programming in a completely different way. Pros: * Easy to comprehend * Well laid out * The tone of the author is very pleasant and not boring at all * Encourages you to experiment with what you've learned and encourages you to go out explore even further * He makes you feel smart * He makes you feel like you actually have a shot at being a paid developer Cons: * There were a few typos and some missing syntax in a few of the coding examples, but even with that being the case this book is still awesome Once I land a gig here in the next three months it'll be thanks to this book and this amazing author. Thanks =)

A good book for beginners
Format: Paperback
Well I spent about 3 hours reviewing this book last night and I actually think I understood most of it. I still have a long way to go. And I’m not ready to call myself a software engineer any time soon. I think I would need to take about 3 college courses in software engineering and this book would be the first textbook. I would recommend that the index be expanded. I would recommend a book on Python to go with this book.

Must have prior knowlege
Format: Paperback
After reading the reviews, it seemed like this was the perfect book to start learning about software engineering. Unfortunately, it is not. it assumes some program knowledge. I downloaded and installed Visual Studio Code, Ubuntu, and Docker Desktop. On page 22, it says to use the docker build command. I did, and I got a file or folder not found error. I've spent 4 hours searching the internet for an answer to this. I cant find it. This book is supposed to be written for absolute beginners. Apparently, it is not, as I, a beginner, am stuck 22 pages into it...
