To ensure proper growth, Echeveria 'Blue Bird' requires a potting soil mix that drains quickly and moderate amounts of water from spring to fall. This plant responds well to cold stress and can withstand low temperatures without any harm, as we grow it in the garden here in Victoria where it does very well.
