Seed Growing Tips
For the best results, start your Tall Utah Celery seeds indoors in a warm, well-lit area about 10 to 12 weeks before the last heavy spring frost. Keep the soil evenly moist during germination. When the seedlings emerge, place them on a windowsill with plenty of light or beneath a fluorescent light for 16 hours every day.Before transferring your Tall Utah Celery outdoors, have the seedlings acclimate to the new environment by moving them to a sheltered place outside for a week. By acclimating the celery seedlings, their cell structure will toughen to reduce transplant shock. Harvest the celery when the stalks reach about 6 inches.
