Anthurium giganteum Culture:
Anthurium giganteum has large, elongated heart-shaped leaves with a smooth, leathery texture. Its rich emerald green foliage features prominent veins that create striking patterns with a natural glossy finish.
- Light: Bright, filtered light to enhance the dramatic leaf size and prominent venation. Avoid direct sunlight which can damage the large delicate leaf structure.
- Temperature: Warm, stable temperatures 18-26°C (65-79°F) with consistent conditions for optimal leaf development.
- Humidity: High humidity levels of 70-80% are essential for maintaining the distinctive leathery texture and impressive leaf size.
- Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but well-draining. Regular watering supports the large, impressive foliage.
Additional Notes:
Natural Habitat: Anthurium giganteum grows terrestrially and epiphytically at altitudes from 500-3000m, from tropical warm humid forests to cloud forests. This adaptability makes it a robust species that can thrive in various indoor conditions when proper care is provided.
