This plant is new on the market! It is almost indistinguishable from ZZ ‘Raven,’ but retains a trace amount of green, sometimes appearing as flecks on the almost black leaves. Just like on the ZZ Raven, new growth is a bright green that fades to its signature color over time.
ZZ Plants of all varieties are a lazy plant parent’s dream. They can go months in between waterings and do remarkably well in low light conditions. However, be careful not to over-water in low light conditions - this can easily create conditions suitable for root rot and that is how the vast majority of ZZ plants meet their untimely demise.
