It is preferable that the soil does not contain much organic material, such as peat moss and that the plant is not fertilized with heavy nitrogen as this can cause an explosion of soft, flabby growth that can make the plant prone to bacterial rots. Decomposed granite is often an excellent media as it has many trace minerals and is similar to the South African quartz fields where these and others of the "Stone Mimicry" are found growing. Great bug repellent

My family and me love these things. We take them everywhere we are going. They work so well and are so simple. Just stretch them a bit and put them on. It doesn't stop them all, but it does a good job and is not some nasty spray that makes you smell funny

The Cliganic Mosquito Bracelets are amazing to use & are super comfortable. So much so I forget they’re there most of the time. I go to the mountains a lot & during this time of year I get eaten alive by Mosquitos. When I first wore these it worked instantly. I wore one on my ankle and wrist for good measure. My friends didn’t want them because they said “I don’t get bitten” but when they seen how protected I was they were quick to change their minds. Now they buy these too and I don’t go up to the mountains without them.
