Transform your indoor garden with the stunning Monstera Velvet Peru, a true gem for plant enthusiasts and collectors alike. Known for its striking deep green leaves adorned with velvety texture and unique, rippled patterns, this plant adds a touch of lush elegance to any space. Its captivating foliage not only serves as a beautiful focal point but also helps purify the air, making it both a visually appealing and functional addition to your collection.

** Deep green, velvety leaves with spectacular ribbing create a dramatic effect in any indoor environment.

- **Air Purifying:** Effective at filtering toxins, improving air quality, and promoting a healthier atmosphere.

- **Easy to Care For:** Perfect for both seasoned plant caretakers and beginners.

**Care Instructions:**

- **Light:** Prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while insufficient light may slow growth.

- **Watering:** Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot. During the growing season (spring and summer), keep the soil slightly moist; reduce watering in the fall and winter.

- **Humidity:** Thrives in high humidity levels. Consider using a pebble tray or a humidifier to enhance humidity in dry environments.

- **Temperature:** Ideal temperatures range between 65°F and 85°F (18°C - 29°C). Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

- **Fertilization:** Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season for optimal growth.

**Zone Hardiness:**

The Monstera Velvet Peru is an ideal houseplant and is not frost hardy. For outdoor cultivation, it is best suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 10-12, where temperatures remain consistently warm.

Enhance your living space with this extraordinary Monstera Velvet Peru plant and watch as it becomes a beloved centerpiece, admired by all who see it!

An epic naval history decades in the making
Format: Hardcover
Excellent ending to Dr. Rodger's three book series "A Naval History of Britain", with the same level of detail and interesting presentation of facts I have come to expect from reading other of his works over the years. For anyone interested in a comprehensive naval history of Britain (from which the US Navy inherited much of its tradition), I would highly recommend this series. In addition, "The Wooden World: An Anatomy of the Georgian Navy" is also quite a good read. My (incomplete, sadly) collection of Dr. Rodger's works will continue to hold a special place on my naval history shelf for easy reference in the future. I also hope Dr. Rodger's health has improved. The shipper unfortunately did not pack this book well, resulting in minor damage (mostly cosmetic - book is still entirely readable).

Answers Many Questions about Naval Developments
Format: Hardcover
The history offers a detailed and well organized account of the Royal Navy as it transitioned from sail to steam. Coverage included personalities, technology, tactics and strategy. The combination provided a complete appreciation of the dynamics at play, some unexpectedly. The details might be a bit much for a casual reader but offered plenty of avenues for research not available or compiled in one source. I look forward to the final volume, which should describe another watershed era.

Great Book with a different perspective
Format: Hardcover
This will be a short review of a very long book. I ordered the book expecting more of a history of the British Navy, but this is more of a history of Britain with respect to its navy. It is still excellent and authoritative, just different than I expected. I really appreciate a somewhat different perspective than I have found in some other books. For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.
