Deep down in the cold, barely explored waters of our oceans lives some really wild creatures! Including a hatchet fish, angler fish, viper fish, glass squid, giant isopod, gulper eel, and a black dragonfish, this TOOB® takes you far below the ocean's sunny surface.
History: Evolved to live in a region of harsh conditions with no light, almost all deep sea animals have special to survive. Some species, like the hatchet fish, have extremely large retinas to increase their visual sensitivity, while the angler fish actually produces light to lure its prey in. Although it's very difficult for humans to explore such deep waters, we've brought some of the unique deep-sea species right to you for fun and intriguing observation!
Characteristics: This Toob is a great introduction to some of the lesser-known marine creatures. The professionally crafted figurines are not only educational and scientifically accurate, but they inspire imaginative fun, too! Swim down and investigate the giant isopod and the glass squid, but be warned: stay away from any floating lights!
Size: 1.5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 12.8 inches tall, this Toob is a bit larger than the size of a standard American ruler and contains 7 different deep sea figurines that range from 1.25 to 3.75 inches tall.

Don't recommend.

Not at all what I was expecting. It must have been self or independently published. Returned. I will definitely be scrutinizing my next book purchase on this subject to more stringently. Also, Not that I care but claiming to be "7 books in one" is a false claim. But I kind of figured that before I purchased it. Its just bad.
Big turn offs for me.
-No/poor editing.
-Page formatting makes my eyes bleed.
-The font tries too hard to be fun--especially for an instructional book.
-pages feel cheap.
-image quality is abysmal.
- none of the information I was looking for and lots of information I wasnt.

Not helpful
Format: Paperback
This book is so basic it doesn't really help much in tips on identifying rocks and minerals. The photos are enlarged so much they are distorted and most photos are of the rocks cleaned and polished. That doesn't help with how to spot things in nature or where to look. I'm really disappointed. Also, Montana has a lot of cool rocks but all books ever speak of are sapphires and agates. I feel like I wasted my money. There are some helpful things but even as a beginner, most of the contents are known.
