- Aloe arborescens 'Candelabra Aloe' forms a rosette of long, wide-spreading, green leaves lined with small spiked teeth. This Aloe grows to form a large bush with many offsets and eventually grows into a small tree, which is quite fitting since arborescens means "tree-like".
- Produces dark orange to red, tubular flowers on long stems that typically bloom in the winter. However, it is not uncommon for this beauty to bloom multiple times a year.
- Easily propagated from stem cuttings.
- Hardy to Zone 9 (20°-25° F).
Aloe Care: As with all succulents, it is best to follow a "soak and dry" schedule where you water your plants deeply (until water runs out the bottom drain holes), and then allow your soil to dry completely before watering again. Succulents should always be planted in well-draining cactus and succulent soil and in a pot or container that has drain holes.

Crisp but with sour taste from lactic acid.

Thought it might be nice to have pantry stable veggies. However, they have a noticeable sourness due to the lactic acid used as preservative. This is probably necessary to avoid heating/cooking as is done with canned vegetables. They are much crispier than canned vegetables.
The sourness might be fine in some dishes or to some tastes.
