Watering system: self-watering pot, equipped with WaterWick technology and a ceramic container from the Easy Care range, with a rim that holds the culture pot suspended. This system allows the plant to draw the necessary amount of water by itself, through a wick that transports water from the tray, which in this case acts as a reservoir, to the roots. Thus, the plant benefits from constant and balanced hydration, reducing the risk of drying out or overwatering.
Care:
- Light: Prefers indirect light, a bright spot. It can tolerate partial shade, but flowering will be more abundant under suitable light conditions. Avoid direct sun exposure, which can burn the leaves.
- Soil: Prefers well-drained soil, rich in organic matter. A mix of potting soil with perlite and peat is ideal to ensure proper drainage.
- Watering: Watering should be regular, keeping the soil evenly moist but not saturated. Let the soil dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. In winter, reduce watering slightly.
- Humidity: Anthurium prefers a high humidity level. Regular misting of the leaves or using a humidifier can be beneficial, especially in the winter months.
- Temperature: The plant grows best at temperatures between 18-25°C. Avoid exposure to temperatures below 15°C and protect the plant from cold drafts.
- Fertilizing: Fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer for indoor plants. Reduce fertilizing during autumn and winter.
- Propagation: Anthurium is propagated by dividing the clump or by stem cuttings. Division is best done in spring.
- Common problems: The plant can be affected by pests such as red spider mites and aphids. Check the plant regularly and treat with suitable insecticides if necessary. Overwatering can lead to root rot and mold growth.

A must read, One of the most powerful books Ive read.

This book has not just impacted me personally, it has influenced my leadership as well. I found so much value in it that I brought it into my workplace. We’ve started using the conversation cards as icebreakers during team meetings, and the shift in engagement has been noticeable. The questions create space for authenticity, vulnerability, and deeper connection among staff. What used to be routine check-ins have become meaningful conversations.
