For fruiting varieties like cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants, work several tablespoons into each planting hole when transplanting, then side dress throughout the season as needed.

For container flowers and vegetables, amend the potting soil with several tablespoons before planting. It makes a noticeable difference, resulting in lush, vigorous growth and great flower and fruit set. Because container plants need to be constantly watered, nutrients flush out fast. About a month after planting, side-dress with All Purpose to keep them productive throughout a long season.

This is also our favorite fertilizer around the landscape. In early spring, when perennials are still dormant and spring rains expected, broadcast sparingly, then cover with a layer of mulch. The fertilizer breaks down slowly and, as plants wake up, they sprout back with vigor. Especially good for dahlias, roses, and bulbs – we also use it on grapes, kiwis and other fruit trees.
