The satiny blooms open wide in full sunshine, then gently fold themselves closed toward evening, so the display is always shifting a little with the day. Like all California Poppies, it thrives in lean-to-average soil and prefers dry conditions once established. An easy annual that may self-sow and return in friendly spots. Grows about 12" to 14" tall and wide. Deer resistant and pollinator friendly.
