Description

Be the envy of the neighborhood with this fun and funky tree! Don't just like your landscape; love it with the Corkscrew Willow!

This isn't the boring, old tree next door! This unique willow boasts branches that twist and curl and curve and twist again. You'll love the dainty, but tough green willow leaves that also have a hint of the same twisted nature as the branches. It's rare to find a tree this size that is fast growing, but this tree grows to 20-30 feet tall and about 15-20 feet wide and is just that!

Plan for the Corkscrew Willow to grow over 2 feet in a year. This groovy, fast growing tree grows in full sun to part shade and is adaptable to just about any soil. Even better, is that it's hardy down to -40°F! It will tolerate drier soil than its Willow siblings but does enjoy a moist, well-draining soil so avoid allowing the soil to go completely dry. This tree is deer and salt tolerant as well as disease resistant and low maintenance.

This willow is easy to grow and doesn't require pruning. If you do prune this tree do so in the dormant season and save those cuttings for super cool bouquets! Water is all this tree needs to thrive when planted in an ideal location. To reduce water requirements, mulch this tree in with about 3 inches of mulch.

Transform your landscape by adding a single tree! Say, "I am fun, funky, and fancy free" with the Corkscrew Willow! Get your new, favorite tree today before they sell out!

How To Care

When planting your Corkscrew Willow tree be sure you have the right location and conditions for your new tree to thrive. Spring and Fall are ideal times to plant. However, if you avoid extreme temperatures you can plant your Willow tree almost any time of the year.

Corkscrew Willows thrive in full sun to part shade and are adaptable to almost any soil as long as it isn't dry. Water deeply 2-3 times weekly for the first 3 months after planting. This helps the tree's roots establish properly. You want to continue to keep the ground moist, especially for the first 2 years. Try using a Treegator and/or adding 2-3 inches of mulch to your young tree to reduce hand watering needs.

Water your mature tree in dry periods. If your tree needs a boost, fertilize in early spring with our slow release fertilizer. Corkscrew Willows don't generally require pruning, but, if needed, prune when they are dormant in winter or early spring to remove any dead, dying, or crowded branches, or to maintain shape. This Willow is deer and salt tolerant. For more tips, be sure to also check out our article on Shade tree care.

The best way to prevent disease and pests is by providing the appropriate care for your plants. Proper location choice, watering, and fertilization are the keys to your success. Corkscrew Willows rarely have issues with disease and are even resistant to Verticillium Wilt. Fungal issues can arise on occasion however.

Usually treating after infection isn't extremely effective, so if you have problems yearly treat in early spring with fungicides to prevent infection. Scale and aphids can affect Willows. You can treat these pests naturally with horticultural oil, neem oil, or insecticidal soap. For severe infections you can use pesticides like carbaryl, also known as Sevin.

Actually stands up to use
Size: 4.5", Size: 4.5"
I have a pitbull who is a toy destroyer. All those toys, even the ones that say tough enough for destroyers, never hold up. THESE BALLS ARE AWESOME! I bought the 2 pack of the 4.5 inch balls and they lasted a year. I literally am writing this review after ordering a new set. These are well worth the money and Ghost (my dog) loves them. Hes a 103lbs pitbull and his life mission is cuddles and destroying his toys... and these lasting a year of everyday use is friggin awesome. Both toys failed in the same way eventually. They gave out in a circle around the "squeker".

She chewed it up in less than 10 minutes. This is not for heavy chewers but dogs that like to actually play with their toys it would be great!!! I gave it a 3 because it worked for my other dog who likes to play🤘

One Tough Ball!
Color: Blue
Our dogs are loving this ball. Our 1 yr old hound is a world-class chewer and he can't make a dent in this ball. The interactive buzzing and bouncing keeps them entertained for long durations. It's a mite noisy but the barking from the 1 yr old is much louder, lol. Even turned off, they like playing with it and chewing on it. Based on the tough construction, we think it will last much longer than traditional chew balls.

My puppy’s favorite
Color: Orange
Great quality and built to last. My dog really enjoys playing with it and stays entertained for quite a while. The material is strong yet safe, and the included drawstring bag is a convenient extra for easy storage. Is colorful and my become my puppy’s favorite.

If you love your dog…don’t buy this.
Color: Orange
We have a nonaggressive English cocker. She opened the ball every time she played with it. And yes, we are closing it as hard as we can. I do not recommend this toy for any dog! This is a dangerous toy for a dog that is not supervised.
