Introducing the Crested Golden Barrel Cactus, known as Echinocactus grusonii 'Cristata', which is a special type of Golden Barrel Cactus. It's like a fancy cousin of the regular Golden Barrel Cactus, with a unique crested growth pattern. Because of this, the crested golden barrel cactus has several other common names such as Crested Mother-in-law's-cushion, Crested Mother-in-law's-seat, and Crested Golden Ball Cactus.

The crested golden barrel cactus is a garden-produced cultivar, that can grow up to 1 foot tall and wide. The stems are covered in bristly, glassy pale-yellow spines that are all similar in shape and length. The Echinocactus grusonii cristata is a rare, delicate, and small crested variant, known for its soft spines and tangled brain-like green mounds. It forms large, touch-friendly mounds with its growth.

The crested golden barrel cactus blooms during the summer, with beautiful yellow flowers, adding a pop of color to its already stunning appearance. These flowers attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies, contributing to the ecosystem's biodiversity. The cactus's unique shape and vibrant blooms make it a popular choice for xeriscaping gardens in arid regions.

When it comes to taking care of this crested golden barrel cactus, it prefers a specialized cactus potting  soil that drains well and needs plenty of sunlight to thrive. It's a tough plant that can handle low water conditions, which makes it great for outdoor gardens in places with low rainfall.  Dry the plant during winter and repot every other year or when it outgrows its pot. Grafted plants are easy to grow and form a large mound with age. Water during active growing seasons (spring and summer) to encourage steady growth and prevent flabby crests.

When growing indoors, it prefers a warm temperature between 65°F and 75°F. It can handle a wide range of climates and is hardy outdoors in USDA zones 9 to 11.

If you're interested in propagating the Crested Golden Barrel Cactus, you can do it by pups or by sowing its seeds. Both methods can give you new plants to enjoy.

These are dog tested and approved.
Size: 1-pack
The launcher works very well and will probably last forever unless your dog chews it up while bring it to you to get you to play, but the balls, well, they're not made for labs, that's for sure. That's the bad news. The good news is that worn out or abandon tennis balls fit the launcher just fine. Save your throwing arm. Do your dog(s) a favor. Buy this thing.

No angle for correct throwing
Size: 1-pack, Size: 1-pack
This item does not work. It is about ) inches tall. It’s tiny to bend over and pick up the ball. Has no angel for the ball to throw accurately. Ball goes downward. Would not recommend

Happy pup. Worth it.
My dog loves this thing. It takes hardly any effort to launch the ball. Flick of the wrist kinda thing. The squeaky ball is her favorite but unfortunately you can't buy this brand of ball separately. It says compatible with any 2.5 inch ball but that's not true. We have a ton of Penn tennis balls and they are just slightly too big for this launcher. You can do it but it's a huge pain and hard to throw. Another issue is that when we first got it the handle didn't want to stay screwed together. After the first day of use and having to rescrew it together multiple times, the issue seems to have corrected itself? Either way, for the price with the comfy handle, very low effort throwing for big pay off, two balls included and the crazy excitement from my dog anytime we get near the thing. It's definitely worth it. I like it much better than the chuck it and stone random cheap brand we used to have. I'm going to try one of the balls recommended in the product pictures. I'll update if they work out.
