Echeveria JC Van Keppel is a stunning hybrid succulent that boasts silvery green leaves with reddish-pink margins. This plant is a cross between Echeveria agavoides and Echeveria sp, bred by John Trager, the curator of the Huntington Botanical Gardens. It was named after Joop. C. Van Keppel, from whose collection this hybrid originated.

Echeveria JC Van Keppel can grow up to 30 cm wide and 15 cm tall. It is a clumping plant that produces offsets freely, forming a large, robust clump over time. The coral-colored blooms appear on tall, thin stalks in late winter or early spring, adding another layer of beauty to this already stunning plant.

This plant is highly valued for its attractive appearance and ease of care, making it a popular choice for succulent enthusiasts. However, it should be noted that it is suitable only for experienced growers of sensitive Echeveria. Echeveria JC Van Keppel is very sensitive to overwatering and does not like watering overhead or need very much water at all, especially during winter.

It is a tender succulent that requires bright, indirect sunlight for at least six hours each day. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves of this succulent, so it's best to place it near a sunny window but out of direct sunlight. If you are growing Echeveria JC Van Keppel outdoors, it should be protected from hot afternoon sun.

Echeveria JC Van Keppel prefers well-draining soil that is made up of 50% mineral grit and 50% organic matter. The ideal soil mix for this succulent should contain Turface, pumice, perlite, and coarse sand. These amendments help improve soil drainage, prevent soil compaction, and ensure the plant receives the necessary nutrients.

Echeveria JC Van Keppel can be propagated easily through stem cuttings or leaf cuttings. To propagate through stem cuttings, take a stem cutting and allow it to callus for a day or two before planting it in well-draining soil. To propagate through leaf cuttings, gently remove a healthy leaf from the plant and allow it to callus over for a day or two. Then lay the leaf face up on a well-draining soil mix, keeping it slightly moist until it develops new roots and a rosette of leaves.

Echeveria JC Van Keppel requires very little fertilizer, as too much can harm the plant. Feed it once a month during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength.

Echeveria JC Van Keppel is hardy in warm temperatures between 15°C to 27°C and can’t tolerate temperatures below 0°C. If you're growing Echeveria JC Van Keppel in a colder climate, it's best to keep it indoors or in a greenhouse.

Overall, Echeveria JC Van Keppel is a stunning succulent, highly valued for its attractive appearance. It is easy to care for, given the right growing conditions, requires warm temperatures, very little water and is recommended for experienced growers of sensitive Echeveria.

I really enjoyed this book of short stories
Format: Paperback
I loved this book. It was the first time I ever read anything by Simone De Beauvoir. It is difficult but I think the title story was my favorite, watching the character go down hill so rapidly and in such detail showing her growing obession was oddly relatable, her self hatred towards her body towards the end of the story I would not try and presume to state what the "moral" of the story was... but that is exactly what I am going to do about now check it.................... I think that the main Character should have developed a concept of self outside her marriage her marriage was her identity and when that fell apart she had nothing...no sense of self it was a compelling read a little uncomfortable but I like being a littel uncomfortable when I read............

Excellent writing, but rather depressing (but perhaps accurate?).

Breath taking novel
Format: Kindle
I am not a fan of both fiction and non-fiction novels, my English is pretty bad as well. yet, here I am, and I'm planning on reading more in the future only because of this book. It's heartbreaking and breathtaking at the same time. Not saying the book is beautiful or any like that, but you will find yourself in a painful place when you read this. A painful feeling which makes you feel like you got stabbed in the heart but all the air in your lung is stuck out, no voice screams out and you can’t do anything with it.

Strong story, Weak book spine
Format: Paperback
The book itself was wonderful. Otherwise the physical structure of the book is weak and the pages began to fall off the spine reading halfway into the book. Recommend the book, and recommend another physical copy of the book.

The inner view of hopeless romantic heartbreak.
Format: Paperback
The stories could be depressing but somehow, they rise above. It's the beautiful soulful clear intelligent writing, I guess. These stories will ring true for any reader that has lost their favorite significant other. The middle story is especially amazing to me. It consists of the running inner dialogue of a woman on the edge. Nearly mad she rambles in the cleverest of ways. Ms. De Beauvoir is [was] a marvelous philosopher, writer, woman.
