Description: The Spathiphyllum Sensation, commonly known as the Giant Peace Lily, is a striking houseplant renowned for its large, glossy, dark green leaves and elegant white flowers (spathes). This XXL specimen, standing 140–160 cm tall in a 45 cm pot, makes a bold statement in any indoor space. Its oversized foliage and graceful blooms provide a touch of sophistication and tranquillity, making it a favourite for living rooms, offices, and other spacious areas.

In addition to its visual appeal, the Spathiphyllum Sensation is celebrated for its air-purifying properties, as it can filter toxins and improve indoor air quality. It’s also easy to care for, making it a perfect choice for beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts alike.

Care Guide

1. Light Requirements

  • Preferred: Bright, indirect sunlight for optimal growth and blooming.
  • Tolerates: Low to medium light conditions, though flowering may be reduced.
  • Avoid: Direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, causing them to turn yellow or brown.

2. Watering

  • Frequency: Water when the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil feels dry.
  • Method: Water thoroughly until excess water drains out of the pot. Always discard standing water to prevent root rot.
  • Caution: Peace lilies prefer slightly moist soil but are sensitive to overwatering. Underwatering may cause drooping, which can be quickly resolved with a thorough watering.

3. Humidity

  • Thrives in moderate to high humidity levels (50–60%).
  • Place near a humidifier, mist occasionally, or use a pebble tray with water to maintain humidity, especially during dry winters.

4. Temperature

  • Ideal range: 18–27°C (65–80°F).
  • Protect the plant from temperatures below 15°C (59°F), cold drafts, and air conditioning vents.

5. Soil

  • Requires a well-draining, rich potting mix.
  • A general-purpose houseplant soil mixed with a bit of perlite or sand ensures good drainage.

6. Fertilising

  • Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
  • Avoid over-fertilising, as it can cause brown leaf tips. Reduce feeding in autumn and winter.

7. Pruning

  • Remove any yellowing, damaged, or dead leaves at the base with clean scissors.
  • Cut spent flowers at the base to encourage new blooms and maintain the plant’s tidy appearance.

8. Repotting

  • Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound.
  • Use a slightly larger pot with fresh soil to support continued growth.

9. Flowering Tips

  • Regular care and bright, indirect light encourage flowering.
  • If the plant does not flower, ensure it is receiving sufficient light and nutrients.

10. Common Problems

  • Drooping Leaves: Typically caused by underwatering or overwatering. Check the soil and adjust watering accordingly.
  • Brown Leaf Tips: Often due to low humidity, over-fertilising, or using water with high fluoride content. Increase humidity and consider using distilled or filtered water.
  • Yellow Leaves: May result from overwatering, poor drainage, or ageing foliage. Address the watering routine and remove old leaves as necessary.

11. Pests

  • Rarely affected by pests but may occasionally encounter spider mites, mealybugs, or aphids.
  • Wipe leaves with a damp cloth and treat infestations with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Styling Tips

  • Position the XXL Peace Lily in a prominent spot to showcase its dramatic size and lush foliage.
  • Place it in living rooms, entryways, or offices where its air-purifying properties and elegant appearance can be appreciated.
  • Pair it with sleek, neutral pots or the included 45 cm container for a modern aesthetic.
  • Add decorative elements like pebbles or moss at the base for a polished look.

Benefits of Spathiphyllum Sensation

  • Air-Purifying: Removes toxins such as benzene, formaldehyde, and ammonia, improving indoor air quality.
  • Low Maintenance: Ideal for busy households or offices, requiring minimal care.
  • Elegant Aesthetic: The combination of glossy leaves and white flowers adds sophistication to any space.

This XXL Spathiphyllum Sensation Peace Lily combines grandeur with ease of care, making it a perfect centrepiece for large spaces or a thoughtful gift for those who appreciate timeless elegance and natural beauty.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fun with a late blooming omega
Format: Kindle
I like this book. The story is fun, cute, and sexy. There's just a little drama, some excellent, steamy scenes, and a fairly good relationship building storyline. I especially like how all the main characters are a bit older than the usual 20 somethings I tend to see in this kind of book. Having said that, I wish there were more descriptions of the places, as well as the food in the fancy restaurant. I enjoyed the cocktails at the club, so I missed that kind of detail when Gray took Madison on a dinner date. I also wish there had been more interaction between Lucas and Madison, and Lucas and Rian. It felt a bit lopsided, with a focus on Rian, Madison, and Gray. I wish it had been proofread - there are a lot of typos, but nothing too distracting.

Madison Deserved Better
Format: Kindle
Madison was a beta...except she wasn't any longer. She was a late presenting Omega. And she was struggling. She was tall and thin, not tiny and curvy. She was opinionated. She was everything an Omega was not. After suffering through her first heat, her friends took her to Ardor, a club where Omegas came to safely find Alphas. She's not expecting much but then she connects with a sexy beta. And when she meets his Alphas, they set her body on fire. Maybe, she's found her no-strings-attached heat pack. Maybe, she's found something more. I could not connect with the characters in this book, so their story never resonated with me. And there was no love story; there was sex. Grey made it clear from the beginning that he had a true love and it was his beta boy, Rian. He went so far as to reassure Rian “Say the word, I’ll never touch her again. Lucas can put the babies in her. I only need you, beta boy”. So, Madison was there for babies, no emotions needed. Nice. No, thank you. I want the Omega to be the center of their world, not an incubator. Lucas and Rian weren't any better. After her heat, they let her leave. Not one of them made her feel valued. No one gave her a reason to stay or even offered a cuddle. And the sex didn't even come across as mind-blowing. Madison deserved better.
