Fun groundcover creates incredible color at your feet! Make a statement to spark conversation with the exquisite Flaming Carpet Sedum (Sedum 'Flaming Carpet')! With hues from cool-toned powder blue to bright burgundy red … all the way to brilliant yellow!

Flaming Carpet Sedum uses an expert 3-in-1 approach by mixing the incredible 'Angelina', 'Blue Spruce', and 'Voodoo' Stonecrop varieties to add an incredible amount of outstanding color at ground level in one fell swoop! You'll be amazed at their showy visual effect, and so will your visitors.

All season, you'll love the fantastic color play of blue, purple, and bright yellow foliage, composed of soft needle-shaped, succulent leaves. Flaming Carpet Sedum also produces ornamental red and yellow star-shaped blooms for months to delight butterflies and bees!

The fall color display is likewise spectacular! As the temperatures start dipping in autumn, the foliage fires up into electric orange, vivid yellow, and moody purples. Count on their reliable performance year after year. Go ahead and give them your toughest, sunny spots to tame with their lavish foliage and blooms.

Flaming Carpet is extraordinarily cold hardy and can even keep color through the year in mild winters, even remaining semi-evergreen throughout the warmer zones of USDA hardiness zones 3 to 8! These sun-loving plants are durable and rugged. These perennials may even display a bit of that bold color under a topping of light snow!

These carefree plants are nicknamed "Stonecrop" because they require very little care once they are established. Perfect for beginners, the only thing that can harm a Sedum is watering too much.

Planting and Application:

Make your outdoor entertaining areas live large! Include accent plants at ground level and gain a wonderful color mix at the base of your plantings. Focus on the ground-level details to complete your layered plan. You might be surprised to learn how much of an impact these energetic, petite perennials will make! They also easily polish the edges of your plantings to decorate your space. Especially along pathways and walkways (Carpet Sedum won't mind light foot traffic!).

These low-maintenance succulent groundcovers spread wide without fuss to create a nice, dense mat that suppresses weeds. Let them cover bare ground to soften the look of your planting beds. Achieve a consistently dynamic look by tucking these low-growing plants throughout your landscape. This tried-and-true designer secret makes all the difference between amateur and professional design styles!

Use them on the south side of larger shrubs and perennials. Run them as a bold edging in your garden beds. Or plant Flaming Carpet Sedum at the top of a retaining wall, or in specially created planting pockets in the wall itself. Rock Gardens and crevice gardens become gorgeous additions to your landscape! Pair with Hens n Chicks, and other Creeping Stonecrop varieties to complete the look!

Because Sedum thrives in drier soils, is a welcome addition to the rugged conditions of the average sun garden, thrives in the harsh hell strip, and is recommended for use around the fire-wise landscape! Fill a wide bare area with a cunning little mass planting. Space them four inches apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next.

Commercial property owners can also make a big splash with this colorful groundcover. Use on eye-catching projects such as rooftop gardens on outbuildings, birdhouses, and covered alfresco patios! Plant them to fill in around a path of stepping stones. You'll love their vivacious look, and grow to appreciate their tough-as-nails nature.

Add this vibrant filler and spiller to any outdoor container or planter to act as a colorful skirting and filler to hide the bare soil. You'll add a pretty finishing touch to your container gardens while reducing moisture evaporation from the soil and keeping the roots of your focal point plants cool! They make a memorable display in low-slung outdoor window boxes, too. Decorate your side tables with the outstanding color. Allow them to spill down to soften the edge of tall planter tubs. They look great at the edge of raised garden beds, as well!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Please give perennial Sedum a planting site with at least six hours of bright light a day. More sun means more color and a tighter form. They do best in well-drained soil, so if you suspect poor drainage - create a raised planting bed to improve your drainage. Don't overwater your succulent Sedum. Supply them with a consistently low amount of water, and allow the top inch of soil to start to dry out between watering.

We recommend that you protect your investment with water during an extended drought, giving in-ground and container plants a regular schedule of supplemental water, as well. Sedum is a water-wise perennial but does appreciate a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch around the root zone to keep more moisture consistency in the soil.

Plan to gently remove any spent foliage in early spring just as you begin to see new growth. Trim to control the outward spread or rebalance the coloration at that time, as well. Every few years, it's recommended to divide your clumps to maintain vigor (plus you and your friends can enjoy free plants!), otherwise, these plants are very low-maintenance.

  • Easy Care in Full Sun
  • Thrives in Almost Any Well-Drained Soil - Poor Soil Tolerant
  • Regular Moisture At First - Drought Tolerant/Xeric Once Established
  • Prune Down Early Spring
  • Cold Hardy & Heat-Resistant
  • Deer Don't Prefer the Taste

Good for combo skin. Scented.
This moisturizer has a lightweight texture. It reminds me of a gel-cream. It does have a floral/powdery/fresh scent. It doesn’t bother me that much but a lot of people don’t like scented face products. I took off one star for the fact that it’s scented because I feel it’s unnecessary. Especially since this moisturizer is labeled for sensitive skin. I also feel like it is pricey for the small 1.3 floz bottle. It seems a bit basic for $40 doesn’t it? I have combo/acne prone skin and I am currently on prescription tretinoin/hydroquinone cream from my dermatologist. I needed a face moisturizer that is light and wouldn’t clog my pores but also super hydrating. My skin is very sensitive right now and I had no issues with this moisturizer. I felt it provided the perfect amount of hydration without being greasy and heavy feeling on my face. I don’t like heavy moisturizers. The hydrance rich version is way too heavy for me. The finish of this light moisturizer is soft and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling, like some face moisturizers do. I can wear this year round. It is hard to find the perfect balance of hydration without being greasy. Overall I will keep purchasing it because I am extremely picky about the texture of my face moisturizers and this one is perfect for me. It also wears well under sunscreen and makeup. I do think it’s a little overpriced and the fragrance is unnecessary. Overall it works for me but it’s very important to know about the floral fragrance. The fragrance does go away after a little while but it is present upon application and also minutes after. If you don’t mind the fragrance and have combo, acne prone skin like I do, you will probably like the texture. If you don’t want to pay the money for this avene, try vanicream face moisturizer. The cerave pm face moisturizer is also kinda similar. The vanicream face moisturizer being the most similar to avene light, in my opinion. Vanicream is also unscented and a fraction of the price. Make sure it is the one specifically for the face, without sunscreen. I was not sent this product for free and this is not a paid review. All honest opinions here.

Strong irritating scent
Strong perfume scent that triggered my allergies. Why would a product designed for sensitive skin have fragrance added? My dermatologist had provided me some samples from Avene that were unscented and worked great, but this product is unusable for me if it's perfumed.

Holy Grail Moisturizer for Rosacea
Style: Restorative Protective Cream-3.3 Fl Oz
In seeing so many negative reviews I felt compelled to weigh in as this is my favorite moisturizer. I have very dry, menopausal skin. Additionally, I have rosacea which seems to have been a nice gift from said menopause (you can only laugh, right?). It's very common for those of us in our 50's to have a compromised skin barrier and when an issue like rosacea is present, even more so. Because of all this my skin is very intolerant to most moisturizers and nearly all actives (over the last few years I've had to discontinue my retinols and chemical exfoliators). While ingredients like ALA's, petrolatum, mineral oil, parafin/bees wax, and lanolin are well tolerated and known to be quite soothing, they don't hydrate very well as they are more occlusive than moisturizing. Enter this product. Magically, it does both! It's marketed as a protective cream, which again implies occlusive, but it penetrates like no other. Gone is the tight, dry feeling that persisted even when I had a heavy layer of product on my skin (my previous moisturizer was Eucerin Original Healing Cream -- which still has its uses -- because it was the only thing I could put on my skin outside of squalane oil during a flare). Now, no topical can cure rosacea. However, the right product can calm the skin, repair the damaged lipid barrier, and improve its appearance. This moisturizer does just that and it's become my holy grail. Since starting this I've also added in the Cicalfate Serum which has only aided in repairing my skin. Another Avene product that works great for me is the XeraCalm Balm which helps with itching. I use all three of these daily and they've really helped fix the secondary issues that come with rosacea. As for the complaints about it being greasy or too heavy. I can see this not working for people with normal or oily skin (or perhaps only in moderation). But my skin loves the heavier weight and because one of the ways I soothe a flare is to keep a tiny mister bottle on hand and repeatedly spray my face so I have to guard against the drying effects of evaporation. These products are so lipid heavy that I can wet my face all day long without worrying about that, though I do reapply throughout the day. As for the watery consistency issue, I haven't had that problem but it does caution on the packaging not to expose the product to temperatures below 41 degrees F (5 C). I suspect that if it gets too cold either because of the weather or because of whatever warehouse it sat in during transit it will separate. Maybe open the package and before squeezing some out look to see if it has split and then shake it up/message the tube. So, if you have skin like mine don't hesitate to try this product. I'm leaving this absurdly long review for my struggling brothers and sisters out there with rosacea in hopes that it provides some relief! Happy moisturizing, internet strangers. ;)

Possible solution to seperation
Style: Restorative Protective Cream-1.3 Fl Oz
I love this product so much, but, like everyone else the water HEAVILY separated. A lot of water just shot out immediately and as i've used the cream it has felt more and more thick bc of that, shaking the tube or not. POSSIBLE SOLUTION: I actually think the company could salvage this problem by upgrading packaging to a Cosmetic JAR and then customers could take a toothpick and stir if separation has occurred by the time of purchase. I hope to try this with my next tube, just toothpaste squeezed everything out into a nice cosmetic jar and stir the water back into the product. This is such a simple solution that could really solve the product waste. This refreshes my skin, doesn't break me out, and is lovely. I break out so easily, and being middle aged my skin really requires a dense help with moisture. <3
