Philodendron patriciae is a climbing species native to the Chocó region of Colombia, known for its impressive foliage. The plant produces exceptionally long, pleated leaves that are ovate-lanceolate to elliptic, with a subcordate or rounded base and a cuspidate apex. The leaves are dark green, matte on the upper surface, and glossy on the underside, with a somewhat quilted texture as they age. The plant's firm, terete petiole is sulcate at the base, supporting the pendent leaves that develop ruffles over time. This species, described scientifically in 2010 by Thomas Croat, is noted for its distinct appearance and is an epiphytic climber with short stems and prominent leaf features.
