"Black Dahlia" is a common trade name for very dark dahlia strains. In botany there is no truly jet-black dahlia; blooms that look “black” are actually deep burgundy to violet and can appear near-black in certain light. Our seed lot is selected from dark-flowered lines, so you can expect sumptuous, dramatic tones ranging from rich burgundy to very dark purple, with occasional lighter accents.
