Planting Instructions
Plant Roma II Bush Bean seeds directly in the garden after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed to at least 60°F. Sow seeds 1 inch deep, spacing them 4-6 inches apart in rows spaced 18-24 inches apart. Beans do best in fertile, well-draining soil with a pH between 6.0 and 6.8. Provide full sun and keep soil evenly moist but not soggy.
Avoid planting beans in the same spot as beans, peas, or other legumes from the previous year to reduce the risk of pests and disease.
Care and Harvesting
Bush beans require little maintenance beyond watering and occasional weeding. Mulch around plants to retain soil moisture and reduce weeds. Avoid overhead watering to prevent diseases.
