Phaseolus vulgaris, is thought to have originated in Mesoamerica, particularly in what is now Mexico, and subsequently spread to the Andes. Evidence suggests two distinct gene pools: one in Mesoamerica and one in the Andean region, with domestication occurring independently in both areas.

Jade Bush Bean is an American-developed variety bred for high productivity and refined eating quality. Introduced in the early 1990s by Petoseed, this bean was selected for its heat tolerance, rich green color, and exceptional flavor. It has since become a favorite among home gardeners and market growers alike.

Appearance: Jade beans are slender, medium-dark green pods that grow about 6–7 inches long. The pods are straight, smooth, and stringless, with a glossy finish. The plants are compact, bush-type (not requiring staking), reaching about 18–24 inches tall with upright growth that keeps beans off the soil, aiding in cleanliness and disease resistance.

Culinary Uses: Jade beans are prized for their crisp texture and sweet, rich flavor. They hold up well to steaming, sautéing, blanching, and pickling. Their bright green color remains vivid when lightly cooked, making them ideal for fresh market sales and home meals alike.

Growing Tips: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil with a neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Sow seeds directly after last frost, 1" deep, 2–4" apart, in rows 18–24" apart. Plant in area that receives full sun for 6–8 hours daily.  Keep evenly moist, especially during flowering and pod formation. Thin to avoid overcrowding and ensure airflow. Sow every 2–3 weeks for a prolonged harvest.

Harvesting: Harvest when pods are firm, crisp, and about the thickness of a pencil, typically 55–60 days after sowing. Pick regularly to encourage continuous production. Avoid letting pods become over-mature, as they lose sweetness and tenderness.

Love this stuff
Color: Black, Size: 12" x 10'
I use a manual wheelchair and have some hand strength issues. This shelf liner is all over my home not just as lining to protect surfaces but cut in various shapes for everyday use. The kitchen and bathroom have them for a little more grip to open bottles and containers. In the dining room, to put under plates or bowls, so that don't move around while I eat. The living room has a small toolbox, which holds a number of different sizes and shapes for the tools and for items like cables, I'm connecting to entertainment devices. For this purpose alone, it's definitely cheaper than the Mercedes version of grip material Dycem, as well as each Disabled Catalog's version of stuff that's just like this shelf liner. It's also a far better quality item than Dollar stores. Additionally it works great as it's described. SPECIFIC TO NAMED USE: As shelf liner it does take a little time to flatten out and stay in place in drawers. I use it puffy side up, which creates small indentations from items with any serious weight—stereo equipment comes to mind. A lot of the indentations will hold to the item that created them. To leave the liner where it lays, I always slightly lift each corner/foot of the item on the liner and release the liner, before lifting the whole object up. Imo the black looks better under devices on glass shelves. Microfiber dusting cloths are used on the liner and seem to do a pretty good job. That's said, with a weekly normal dusting done — weighted items are dusted where they're reachable, light weight shelved items moved, dusted, and open areas of liner on shelves dusted. PLUS once a month (1x) all items are moved thoroughly dusted and liners are "shaken out" and wiped down with a DAMP cloth. Shelf liner needs to be 100% dry, before putting it back on your shelves, especially before putting back electronics. The wet cloths used here, have just enough moisture to remove any remaining dust after a liner shaking but it doesn't feels wet to the touch, after damp wiping. But to err on the side of caution, the first shelf's liner and contents, are restored after the last shelf is done. Then each shelf subsequently follows. Personally as someone disabled, I find it to be a great item that does two jobs well.

Bought for playing classical guitar
Color: Black, Size: 12" x 10'
This roll of rubberized material can be used as a non-slip leg cover to keep a classical guitar from moving. It works pretty well. My only gripe is it doesn't seem rubberized enough as my guitar will move if it isn't flat on the pad. It works well otherwise.

Great value - car rattle elimination
Color: Black, Size: 12" x 10'
Well made, easy to cut to needed size and shape. I've used this stuff for years for a variety of needs, and bought this roll to match my new car's interior to eliminate and rattles from the junk I carry around in my console and dash compartment. Can't stand rattles! It works very well for the purpose.
