A horrific parasite that manifests itself as only a worm at first, that eventually grows into an enormous monstrosity of consumption, capable of adding any other biological organisms to its endless mass. Only their death or starvation will see their growth end, otherwise with each consumed creature the mass will endlessly grow.

In ancient times the Drow revered the Dargrith as ascended ones, and was a ritual given unto dying Kings and Queens in what was thought as a process that reserved them. This tradition eventually gave out after one such Queen ate her entire court, but some Drow still hold reverence over these creatures. Much to their own dismay at times.

In reality the Dargrith is a parasite, one born initially from a single worm that if ingested will begin to grow within the digestive system of its host, until their guts have expanded and the parasite bursts upward, effectively bisecting and killing its host while retaining control of the remaining nervous system to command its legs and any other remaining limbs. Once it has reached this stage it is known as the “Ascended” and begins its mature lifecycle of endless hunger. As each creature is devoured by the Dargrith, its mass grows, but so too does its hunger, exponentially.

At some point if left unchecked a Dargrith will grow so large that it can no longer support itself, as its hunger is unquenchable. It is here that the Dargrith enters the final stage of its lifecycle as it begins breaking itself down, eating itself to stave off hunger while doing irreparable damage to its own body. In this stage the Dargrith will begin excreting thousands of worms, its offspring to continue the cycle, though most will die before they get the chance. Here in the final throes the Dargrith will complete the cycle after it consumes the last few limbs and bodies that remain in its mass, and it dies. Thus the best way to ensure no cycle continues is killing the creature before it can reach such a gargantuan size, using ice to break away its frozen bodies.

Great Toy
Size: One Size, Style: Stick
I breed German shepherds. This toy is a soft formed stick made of a memory foam/ rubber polymer. It’s light weight, very durable, floats and my German Shepherds love retrieving this toy. They are not indestructible but they are a great chewing toy for their price. I usually buy several at a time. This toy will help clean their teeth and is soft enough not to damage their teeth. It’s a favorite item for my dogs.

SPECTACULAR dog chew toy!
Size: One Size, Style: Ball
If you look at my profile, you will see that I have bought and reviewed a LOT of dog toys! My boxer is an "aggressive" chewer and we go through dog toys quickly in my house. This has been one of my very favorite chew toys that I have ever purchased. This company sells quite a few of these chew toys in different shapes. This ball is made from a very light foam rubber (I think) material. When I showed it to my husband, he said "that won't last 5 minutes" and I had my doubts too. However, this ball has proven to be EXTREMELY durable! Because it is made from the foam material, it has a lot of tooth sized holes in it after she chews it, but she has been unable to chew the toy apart. I bought another of these chew toys made from the same material in a different shape thinking surely there was some accident that the toy had held up for so long. Nope, the new toy has held up just as well! The toys float in water and are very light and easy to throw. Overall, I will be buying more of these toys and would recommend this product!

Didn't last one day.
Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot, Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot
Didn't last even an hour. This damage wasn't from the dog either, it looks like it let loose from the stress of just trying to launch it! It doesn't fly near as far as the discontinued Pig Slingshot toy. Bring back the pig, please. I also ordered the other listed Hyper Pet flying fowl, and it flew the same distance as this one, and has lasted through the day (but needs to be heavier). But for this one, perhaps they needed to double stitch the area under the 'chin'? I'll try to return it. It looks like it should be more durable, but at least that part isn't. Second one: I chose the replacement, instead of a refund because my dog loves me shooting the toys into the yard. He saw the new duck, and was excited. Six shots in and the seam on the bottom of the head was already separating. By 10 or so times, it was getting concerning as the seams were opening enough I was concerned that it would lose its filling. I'm disappointed, and so is my dog. Just in case anyone is wondering, I never let him alone with this, and still feel, even more so, that the failure is the stitching on the bottom of the head, right at the point where the most stresses of launching it are focused. I'd strongly recommend that Hyper Pet use two layers of full canvas over that area, and also Bring Back The Slingshot Pig, PLEASE... The second picture is the second Duck, and my 7 month old. He wasn't ready to end the session. The problem, for us, is that the 'dog run' isn't very long, and all of the other toys I have are bazooka style launching devices that I can't use yet as they would fly far over the fence. Ironically one is from Hyper Pet, and is amazing. Works so well. Too well?

Not for labrador chewing.
Size: One Size, Style: Stick, Size: One Size, Style: Stick
Not recommended for a Labrador if they enjoy retrieving then chewing, because the stick will only last 20-30mins. The stick does float, and is hollow which is good when it’s been bitten down to ball size.

Great toy except the stitching
Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot, Size: Large, Style: Duck Slingshot
Excellent toy. My Lab immediately loved it and I used it to get her to swim for the first time! However, after just one use, the stitching started coming apart under the head. I wish it had been more durable, my dog loves it.
